  • Reservation holders must present a copy of their confirmed reservation at the circulation desk in order to receive the room (present email receipt on mobile device or bring a printed confirmation.)
  • Study rooms are reserved in one hour blocks or back-to-back one hour blocks up to two hours. If you are in need of more time, you can make another reservation if no one has reserved the room prior to your last hour. Or you may reserve another study room that is vacant. All users are limited to a total of 240 minutes per day.
  • Patrons may reserve a room up to seven (7) days in advance.
  • Rooms left unattended after 15 minutes may be forfeited.
  • Users must have an NSU email address in order to use the online reservation system.
  • Present your NSU ID and reservation confirmation at the circulation desk to check-out the key for the reserved room. Close the door upon exiting the room, make sure it is locked, and return the key for check-in at the circulation desk.
  • Priority in using a room is given to those with room reservations. If you have reserved a room and it is occupied by someone else during your reserved time, please go to the first floor circulation desk and let the library staff know that you need access to the room you reserved.
  • Be advised that single persons using a group study room may be asked to move if a group has need of the room.
  • General library conduct required. Please make sure study rooms are left clean and free of trash.
  • Study rooms must be vacated 15 minutes before closing of the library.
  • Every patron is REQUIRED to close the study room door upon exit and make sure it is locked. If the door does not lock upon closing, the patron MUST report that to the circulation desk upon returning the key. Patrons are responsible for the contents of the room from the time they check out the key. If the patron turns in the key without locking the door or informing the circulation desk staff member that the door will not lock, then the patron is still responsible for the contents of the room. Turning in the key for check-in AND closing and locking the door (or reporting a lock problem) is the only acceptable method for a patron to relinquish their responsibility for the room and its contents (i.e.--TVs, cables, media equipment, etc.).
  • Belongings should not be left unattended. The library is not responsible for loss, theft or damage to personal property.
  • In order to have ADA compliance, tables and chairs are not to be moved, added or removed from the room.

When making a reservation online, you agree to the Room Use guidelines. When checking out a room and using it, you agree to abide by the Room Use guidelines.
